In a recent client case who came in with neck, shoulder and back pain and highly sensitive. We decided to try the Soma cupping, which is more gentle than the traditional glass fire cupping, in part because the cups are made of silicon and have the ability of movement, which gives more control over the suction. Rotational forces can be introduced to the fascial web, that hands on pushing therapy cannot duplicate. Cupping really helps with trigger points.Once I palpate and locate such areas, applying a cup offers extensive relief. The soma cupping can lift and separate tissues off of each other. This movement creates space for the fascial structures to bath in fluids and as a result rehydrate and make pliable once again. Kinda like a sponge when it is dry vs wet! ridged vs supple. The markings, if you will in this case are turning pink because the blood and the lymph fluids are drawn into the area under the cup. This is also an effective treatment for scars!Since scars are binding in the fascia web, therefore restrictive, loosening adhesions and stimulate proprioceptive feedback. State of the art bodywork! Negative Pressure/Reverse Pressure = CUPPING! Variety of types of cupping: Silicon, plastic, fire, facial, & cellulite cupping. I like to go to cupping tools when I see a client with their facia restricted, scar tissue built up, and/or adhesions formed. I have had good results with a shoulder that couldn't handle pressure, but responded well to the cups to the point of increased range of motion and decreased pain reported by the client. I have had great results with the Sciatic Nerve impingement, by lifting and opening up nerve endings/pathways. Great results with the release of trigger points! Overall cupping is a great way to separate tissues, then rehydrates the tissues, so they are more pliable. Schedule today and see why! With Love, Meta-Maria!
